Traveling on ZED FARES

A perk of working for some airlines is that you can travel on other airlines (OALs) for a discounted standby ticket fare or a Zone-Based Employee Discount (ZED) Fare. This is figured out by your airline crew travel departments and a contract/agreement is created with the other airline.

You will notice that there are ZED Low, ZED Medium and ZED High fares which is based of of distance and the agreement each airline has with each other. Its important to note that not all cabins/classes are bookable (ex. first class or business class) with the Other airline (OAL). You can always reach out to your Crew Travel/Employee Travel Department for more information. See our Wiki Site for more airline specific information

ZED Fares also determine the amount of baggage and carry-on/personal item you are allowed for free.

Its recommended that you book refundable hotels or use an interline travel agent who can help plan out your vacation and save you money!
